Sub-Critical Annealing

Sub-Critical Annealing of Machined Parts & Stampings

Many machined parts & stampings that undergo deep draws & severe forming operations will exhibit high cold work hardness, which prevents further drawing or stamping operations.

Sub-critical annealing is an ideal way to remove these stresses to allow subsequent forming operations.

Sub-critical annealing temperatures for this process typically range from 1250F to 1400F.
