It is one of our primary goals here at Therm-Tech of Waukesha to continue to invest in people and equipment in order to strengthen our position as one of the North American leaders in the processing of Tool Steels. We are currently associated with or approved by the following groups: the North American Die Cast Association, the Tool, Die & Machining Association of Wisconsin, Bohler Uddeholm, and both the Ford and General Motors Die Cast specifications. Therm-Tech prides itself on being a valuable heat-treat provider to the American tool and die industry and is committed to helping keep this industry and its jobs here in the United States.
We currently offer three Vacuum Furnaces for the processing of stainless and tool steels. Our largest furnace is a Seco/Warwick® Vacuum that is 36” W x 32” H x 48” L. This furnace is capable of quenching with adjustable pressures up to 10 bar absolute and has a maximum operating temperature of 2400F. This furnace also can process work with convection heating and isothermal quenching to minimize distortion on tooling. Several tests have been run using a 16” square cube of H-13 steel to validate this furnaces capability to quench rapidly enough to exceed the Nadca, Ford, and GM die cast die property requirements. Please see the Awards and Certifications page for further information on this.
We process several tool steels on a daily basis. Please see our Schedule for times we process specific work.
Therm-Tech has recently added a fourth Vacuum Furnace with dimensions of 36Wx36Tx72L, 15 bar quench, Vacuum Carburizing capabilities.
