Leadership is Everyone’s Business
Thursday, June 02, 2011
From a standpoint of organizational competitiveness, leadership can be viewed as a learnable set of character traits. The hope is kept alive in the work environment when leaders release the leader within. The marketplace keeps growing and global alliances continue to surface which makes leaders continue to bring out the best in people to attain top excellence in work quality. There are a few ways that leaders gain some character set traits:
1. On the job-training or formal education
2. Observation of other people
3. Learning from mistakes – using trial in error
Teams usually work well when they grow big ears and eventually understand that nothing will ever enter one’s own mind through an open mouth. To become stellar at leading: Leaders listen well and teach many followers. It is healthier when workplaces believe that all people can lead, but leaders should never expect unrealistic goals when people learn how to utilize valuable character traits. Leadership is everyone’s business because followers become top organizational leaders one day.
